NKJV : Let your light so shine before men, 1 Pet. 2:12that they may see your good works and (John 15:8); 1 Cor. 14:25glorify your Father in heaven.
NASB : Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
This command infers that we have a light within us that people can see, and that it can either be shown or hidden by choice. The command is to show that light.
The light is referred to as something that we have, something that is and element of good works (though not that good works themselves) and is connect to your Father in heaven.
The connection is such that when a person sees the action, they glorify the Father.
This infers that the light that is shown is directly connected to the Father, although it is referred to as "our possession" It is something that is given to us, which we are commanded to show. (NKJV)
There is an inference that the light does not compel good acts, more that though good acts arise out of our relationship to the Father's light. Then light can be perceived through these acts, if it shines.
The Perception of good acts and the glorifications are directly related to this command.

Matthew 4:17 Repent.
NKJV “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
NASB "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
We should remember the evil that we have done and do more than ask for forgiveness, we need to seek a path on which there is no evil.
The reason that is given is that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. This seems to refer to the kingdom of heaven and an event, a happening, or something that is approaching. Also, infers that the happening is new, and unlike the past.
It also infers a connection between repentance and our relationship to the kingdom of heaven.
A direct connection is not stated but a relationship is strongly inferred. Giving a sense of both involvement and non-involvement.

Why we need to study the commands of Christ
What does it mean to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ?
Christ told us that if we believed on him that we would be saved and that if we believed in him that we would keep his commands. All to often, people focus on the feeling of Christ's love (often conveyed through the brotherhood.) But when asked how they should act, the answers is not always so forthcoming. Although the love is very important, there were a number of actions that Christ asked for. This blog fill focus on these actions, and present a comprehensive list of the things that Christ commanded us to do. It will focus less on the great spiritual truths that he spoke, the commands that he gave to individuals, and justifications for his own actions. The focus will be mainly on the actions that he commanded form his followers in general.
Also, individual posts may be posted as General titles, and updated later.
